The hospitals and clinics linked here are mostly located in one district along the foot of the South Hill next to downtown Spokane, with the exception of Holy Family Hospital on the north side, Valley Hospital in the Spokane valley, and Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene. In fact the local bus system runs a "#2 Medical Shuttle" route that cycles between the downtown bus plaza and the hospitals and clinics in this nearby district.
